Ī third Hadith recorded by Imam Muslim reads: "Whoever goes to a soothsayer and asks him about something, will lose the recompense of his prayers for forty days (or Allah will not accept his prayers)". he will not receive the Divine help nor success". Īnother Hadith by al-Nasa'i from Abu Hurairah reads: "Whoever puts his trust in something (sayings of soothsayers and so on), that will be its only supporter, i.e. Many sound Hadith warned us from such deeds and stated punishment for those who engage in them.Ību Dawood reported from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "A person who learns a part of astrology is as if he learns magic, and the more he learns this, the more he learns of magic". Allah and His Messenger consider such actions as major sins, since they are based on quackery and delusion. Know that all forms of astrology such as palmistry, telling one's future depending on stars or cup-reading are completely Haram in Islam. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
